...Stormy Corridor over the Midsection...
Updated: Sunday, July 05, 2009 3:04 PM
A setup for thunderstorms will hold sway over the North Central states on Monday through at least early Tuesday. A hot sweep will spill out of the Southwest into the High Plains of Montana through Colorado and Nebraska. At the same time, cool air will hang on stubbornly over central and eastern Canada.
The two contrasting factors will foster thunderstorms in a corridor stretching along the Montana-Canada border then southeast over the Dakotas and Minnesota to western Wisconsin.
A few strong thunderstorms with high winds and even large hail will break out along this swath, which will reach over the Minnesota Twin Cities.
